Track : YOU HAVE PLACED A CHILL IN MY HEART
(From Album 'Savage')

A definite stand-out record on 'Savage' is this track - with it's complex lyrics and strong video (the final in the trio of vids by Sophie Muller). It reveals a vulnerable Lennox on the rebound from learning of a break-up or of feeling generally unloved. Says Lennox, 'I've been bought and I've been sold / I just want someone to hold'. But there are signs of strength in the lines 'Don't Cut Me Down / Cause I'm much too tall - to feel that small / I'm going to leave this love behind'.
