'It's a secret / I have heard a whisper / promise not to tell' are just a sprinkling of the words employed in the lyrics of the song. The title of the song is an obvious giveaway (combined with the words) as to the meaning of the song being about rumours and the dangers involved. Infact Annie's voice is quite deep and disturbing which is why I say this could be.

Like their previous album, Eurythmics end 'Touch' with a lengthy track at over 7 minutes long - but it varies little despite the duration with electronic sounds abound near the end - perhaps more experimental than meaningful.
