Track : LOVE IS A STRANGER
(From Album 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This')

The first track from Eurythmics' successful second album that broke them into the music mainstream and ignited their career. Beginning with the strong 'Love Is A Stranger' who's release into the charts favoured better following their 'Sweet Dreams' success.

The track is accompanied by a great video that sees Annie dressing up in a variety of guises - donning various wigs. The song begins with a strong beat and Annie's clear, focused lyrics relate to the obsessions of love and how it can take over like 'a dangerous drug'. This builds up to reveal that you can be 'left like a zombie'.

Infact the promo also suggests that Annie's persona as a prostitute is the result of somebody's obsession (a client perhaps?) over someone they don't really know. Annie screams 'I Want You' and it's clear to see why.
