Track : ENGLISH SUMMER (From Album 'In The Garden')

And so, to the first track of the debut Eurythmics' album. A track that sets the score for an experimental album with a strong beat and sensuous, low, yet mysterious vocals from Lennox. The pitch only picks up at the 'There's Nothing Like An English Summer' chorus with sounds of birds, children playing and a vehicle's siren in the distance. The lyrics reveal little of the song's meaning, but it does give us a taster of the things to come, and the pairing of Annie and Dave's appeal has always been their unpredictability.
