'How could she fall for a boy like that?' the backing singers object as if they're offering advice of disapproval or caution.
'Blue' - the colour suits you / the colour fools you' but 'how will you stay this way forever?' comes the reply from Annie. Could she be referring to somebody she admires or loves, but who needs to change in some way? Probably not, as it doesn't seem to matter, in the closing words, Annie says 'How Can I forget you - I'm never going to give you up…'
